Storybird: Collaborative Storytelling
According to CrunchBase, “Storybird is organizing the world’s most beautiful narrative art to make it simple for families and friends to create short, visual stories together that they can share and print. We’re part ETSY, Flickr, and Blurb—optimized for a world of PoD, iPhones, and tablets.”
I stumbled across this site by accident in a magazine. I went to the web site and looked around and it does seem very simple to create. I had fun looking through the artwork. I think this is something that I can do with my sons – they pick the artwork, tell me the story, and I will do the typing and editing. Should be fun for all of us!
I also visited the Storybird blog and found a link to a series of Vimeo videos. There are sneak peaks from the early days, plus some on how to create and manage classes if you want to do this with students.
