Use Web Notes to Mark, Share and Organize
Let’s start with a few questions:
- Do you want any easy way to share web sites with friends, family, or colleagues?
- Would you like to add notes to those web pages? Need to highlight important content?
- Do you need to organize those web sites for easy access?
Well, then your solution is WebNotes, an online browser tool that allows you to create and manage online annotations. I just signed up for the free Web Notes Personal account.
Here are some things you can do with the Personal account:
- Annotate any web page and your notes will be saved. When you return to your research, WebNotes will automatically redisplay your highlights and sticky notes.
- Use WebNotes nested folders to keep track of all of your bookmarked
articles. Search through your collections to find relevant content. - Send annotated pages out via email, permalink or even twitter. The recipient does not need WebNotes to view shared pages.
- Access your information from anywhere. All data is encrypted and backed up daily for the utmost security.
To get started, first create an account. After confirming your e-mail address, download and install the toolbar, which hides instantly with the click of a button when you are not using it. Finally, start marking, organizing and sharing! Here is an example page!
