FireShot LogoWhile teaching a graduate class on integrating technology into classroom instruction last week, one of the participants asked me how they could take a screen shot of a web site for a project. I know that both Mac OS and Windows XP have screen shot commands, but my answer was FireShot.

FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screen shots of web pages. You can choose if you want the whole page or just part of the page. In addition to capturing the image, there are a number of other tools that allow you to manipulate the picture such as text and graphical annotations. Screen shots can be saved in .png, .gif, .jpg, or .bmp format, and can be printed, e-mailed, or sent to another application for more modification.

This is an extension that I use all the time. So if you are looking for an easy way to capture web pages, download this extension today.
