Firefox F Keys
I was working with a small group of teachers recently when the topic of F Keys came up. Since I like to play, I spent some time testing the F Keys in Firefox to see what they would do. Here is what I discovered…
F1 – Will display the Firefox Help window. If you have a question or want to learn more about Firefox, this is a good place to start.
F3 – Opens the Find bar to search the text on the page.
F5 – Reloads / refreshes the current page.
F6 – Highlights the address in the location bar.
F7 – Turns Caret Browsing on or off. This feature places a movable cursor in web pages, allowing you to select text with the keyboard.
F10 – Highlights the File tab in the menu bar, allowing you to use the arrows to select menu options.
F11 – Engages full screen viewing. In this mode, all tool bars are hidden except for the navigation bar, providing more screen space to display a page. I love this feature because during presentations the audience can see more of the display screen.
Here are two images of my Firefox window both before and after selecting the F11 key. Notice the increased viewing area because the tool bars are hidden.

I am sure there are other F Key features that are of value to you. Please share them!
